100th Year Anniversary Fundraiser

The Long Beach Casting Club needs your help next year for our 100th anniversary.

The Giving Tuesday fundraiser was a relative success. We raised just over $6,700. Our goal is $13,000 for all the events next year. If you didn’t have a chance to donate for Giving Tuesday, you have an opportunity to give $100 for 100th Anniversary fundraiser.

As an incentive to donate, an anonymous benefactor who is a member has graciously offered a match of up to $2,500 in individual $100 for 100 Anniversary donations made from December to the end of January. For instance, if 25 members donate $100 each, this generous individual will match the total donations up to $2,500! This is an incredibly benevolent gesture!

We are planning major events next year:
– Open Houses for new members
– Casting Tournaments culminating with the U.S. Open in August where we will be having casters from around the world competing.
– 100 Year Anniversary Party – Saturday, May 17, 2025.  This will be the most exciting day where we will commemorate 100 years of dedication to Casting and Fly Fishing.  All LBCC members along with their families will be invited to the celebration activities which will include:

• Music
• Lunch
• Casting Demos
• Fly Tying Demos
• Gear Manufacturers
• Plaque Dedication
• 100 Year Group Photo taken by a drone over the pond

Fundraising is crucial for a successful year.

Please find in your heart to contribute to this cause.
Many of you have benefitted from casting, fly tying and rod building instruction as well as many other services.

Your generous contribution will insure a great 100th Anniversary and continued support to our various fly fishing programs!

How to Donate:
All donations are to be made by either cash or check.

For Cash donations, please place the cash in a sealed envelope with your name and “$100 for 100th Anniversary” on the front. While at the Club, hand your donation to any club officer, who will drop it in the club lock box.

For Check donations, please make checks payable to “Long Beach Casting Club” and note “$100 for 100th Anniversary” at the bottom of your check in a sealed envelope.

• You can mail it to the club’s P.O. Box with the attention to Ed Alvarado.
